I have been working closely with Lisa and can’t say enough great stuff about where she is taking me with my horses. The connection and understanding I have been developing with my horses has been lovely. Lisa has taught me so much about understanding each of my horses as individuals and the unique needs each has, as well as a window into how they see themselves and us.

One of the things I’ve enjoyed the most is where Lisa is taking me with my riding. After stripping away all of my crutches, especially my hands, trying to “control” my horse and look good while doing it (which I didn’t), my confidence, ability and pleasure in riding is reaching a new level.

I have owned horses for over 30 years, but hadn’t ridden for at least 12 years when, after purchasing 2 young horses and having them trained, decided I better take some lessons.  I found I was terrified after not having ridden for so many years and I was afraid of falling and getting hurt.  At my age I figured I would not fair as well as when I was young.  After taking lessons for 3 years (1/2 years) with other people, I had gotten no further than being able to trot a little on lesson horses with not much more confidence than when I started and still had not ridden my horses.

Thank heavens someone told me about Lisa.  I cannot believe what I have learned from her, on my horse.  Her ability to read people and horses is amazing.  My confidence has increased ten-fold, I am learning to read my horse, be able to calm her (she is very sensitive) and give her confidence in my ability to keep her out of harms way.  I am loping her a little and my fear of speed is lessening each time I ride and I am really enjoying riding for the first time in years.  I cannot wait to be out trail riding with some of my friends.  All because of Lisa and her knowledge and patience with people and horses!

Lisa is also giving my 2 grandchildren riding lessons.  She is very good with them and it’s hard to believe how far they have come from the first time they rode just a few months ago.  They started from scratch, having never ridden before, and are absolutely loving it, even the “hard work” part of it, grooming and cleaning up. They are learning things about riding that I didn’t learn until the last few years, most of it in the last few months.

Lisa is giving all of us a huge bonus in life.  What better way than with horses.

I am so excited to be working with Lisa. I have been around horses all my life, and even trained a few young ones. But in the past 10 years, I have done very little with them, had a couple kids, and need my confidence back! Lisa helped me assess my horses, market the couple I am choosing to sell and is now giving me lessons. Lisa has the gift of truly seeing the horse. She is teaching me how to look at my mare differently, and I am amazed at how much our relationship is changing (on a daily basis).
